Assistant Principal-Range 2 Operations, Inclusion & Teacher Practice

Selection Criteria

1. Demonstrated capacity to provide strategic leadership that promotes a shared vision for excellence in teaching, learning and wellbeing, and to lead the implementation of whole-school improvement initiatives aligned to the School Strategic Plan and Annual Implementation Plan.

2. Demonstrated expertise in leading and improving teaching practice through coaching, mentoring, professional learning, observation and evidence-based pedagogical approaches, resulting in improved student engagement, growth and achievement.

3. Demonstrated ability to lead inclusive education practices that support the diverse learning and wellbeing needs of all students, including the leadership of Disability Inclusion processes, intervention programs and positive learning environments.

4. Demonstrated capacity to effectively lead complex school operations, including timetabling, staffing, professional learning, camps and excursions, policy development, resource management and compliance requirements to support the effective functioning of the school.

5. Highly developed communication, collaboration and relationship-building skills, with a demonstrated ability to lead teams, build staff capability, manage change and foster productive partnerships with students, families, staff and the broader school community.
