Emerald Primary School is committed to providing a quality educational program that ensures each student achieves success across all areas of the curriculum. We cater for individual abilities, experiences and interests.
Guided by our school values, Respect, Kindness and Resilience, our focus is on continuous school improvement.
The strong partnership between parents, staff and students is the foundation for our excellent curriculum and underpins the school community working together in classroom programs, individual support programs, school performances, sporting events and special events/theme days.
The aim of all programs is to provide an excellent grounding in literacy and numeracy, extending and catering for student's individual needs and abilities, allowing all to fulfil their potential while developing powerful personal and social skills of independence, leadership, resilience and responsibility. Specialist teaching programs are Performing Arts, Visual Art, Physical Education, Science and Japanese. We have a strong emphasis on being a sustainable school for the present and the future. We are committed to continuously improving all aspects of the school. The whole school community are encouraged to identify opportunities for improvement and be part of this process of making it better. The school has 2 Principal Class officers, 30 teachers and 15 education support staff.
The school motto is "On Track for Success", which is supported by the school logo of Puffing Billy - an acknowledgment of the history of the school and local area and links to the community.
