We are proudly multicultural, with a strong sense of community and a deep commitment to academic excellence and student wellbeing. Our dedicated staff work collaboratively to create a safe, supportive learning environment where every child can thrive.
Established in 1955, Harrisfield continues to evolve with its dynamic and diverse community. Many of our students speak a language other than English at home, and our inclusive practices are central to supporting every learner.
Our purpose-built Learning Houses support a collaborative and flexible approach to teaching and learning. Guided by the VTLM 2.0, our staff work in teams to implement our instructional model, take shared responsibility for all students, and foster a culture of continuous improvement. Specialist programs include Visual Arts, Science, Physical Education, and Digital Technology.
Staff are supported through ongoing professional learning, including access to an in-house instructional coach.
We offer a strong wellbeing focus through our Wellbeing Hub, which houses our Student Health and Wellbeing Officer, MHiPS Leader, Disability and Inclusion Leader, and allied health specialists.
