Role description
St Patrick's College is seeking a highly organised and proactive TAS Assistant to join our Technological and Applied Studies (TAS) Faculty in a temporary full-time position for a five-week period commencing Monday 24 August 2026 and concluding Friday 25 September 2026. There may be a possibility of work beyond this block.
Reporting to the Head of TAS, you will play a vital role in supporting the delivery of engaging, hands-on learning experiences by ensuring practical lessons are well prepared, workshops are maintained to a high standard, and specialist equipment is safe, functional and ready for use. Working collaboratively with teaching staff, you will contribute to a safe, organised and efficient learning environment that enables students to develop practical skills across a range of TAS disciplines.
This is a varied, hands-on role suited to a self-motivated individual who enjoys working independently, has excellent organisational skills and takes pride in maintaining high standards of safety and presentation.
About The Role
As the TAS Assistant, you will provide operational and technical support to the TAS Faculty, ensuring the effective day-to-day operation of workshops, specialist equipment and practical learning spaces. Your responsibilities will include preparing resources for practical lessons, maintaining workshop facilities and equipment, managing stock and consumables, supporting teachers during practical activities, and ensuring compliance with Work Health and Safety (WHS) legislation and College procedures.
