Role description
What we are looking for:
Marist College welcomes applications from qualified and enthusiastic educators for the position of Head of Religion, commencing from January 2027.
We seek a passionate leader who will strive for excellence in teaching, administration, professional conduct, relationships with parents and the wider school community and a genuine interest for young people and their learning.
Successful applicants will be able to demonstrate:
- A commitment to the ethos of Catholic Education
- An ability to develop and lead quality teaching and learning practices in the subject area listed above
- A willingness to proactively engage with professional development opportunities to enhance quality pedagogy and student outcomes
- An ability to work in collaboration with the Leadership Team and other staff members to contribute to the future planned growth, development and extra-curricular life of the College
About us
Marist College, Emerald is a catholic co-educational secondary college situated in the Central Highlands, three hours west of Rockhampton. The College draws students from Emerald as well as surrounding rural areas including Gindie, Springsure, the Gemfields, Clermont, Blackwater, Tieri and many rural properties and currently caters for years with an enrolment of 556 students.
