We are seeking a passionate and motivated Japanese teacher to join our College community on a permanent, full-time basis commencing as soon as possible.

The School

St Columba’s strives to be authentically Catholic in its identity, whilst ensuring the best possible learning and teaching for the whole person as part of a rich tradition of Catholic education.  Surrounded by beautiful native bushland, wildlife and modern learning spaces, St Columba’s offers staff and students a tranquil setting for learning.

The College has a rich history and culture which promotes and supports the learning of Japanese language and engagement with Japanese culture. We have an active sister school arrangement with Hokusetsu Sanda Senior Highschool, in the Hyogo prefecture of Japan, which has been in place for over 30 years.  The College sends two students to Japan every year for a six month exchange and we host students from Hokusetsu on a reciprocal basis. As a result, the learning of Japanese language is highly valued in the College community and a number of students choose St Columba’s because of the opportunities to learn Japanese.
