Palm Avenue School - NSW Centre for Effective Reading (NSWCER) is a NSW Department of Education and NSW Health initiative. NSW CER is a state-wide service for students referred from eligible government and non-government schools. NSW CER supports primary aged, rural and remote students with complex reading difficulties who have been identified and accepted for support. 

There are hubs in Manly, Westmead, Wagga and Dubbo. This position is located in the Wagga Wagga Hub.

School Administration Officers for NSW CER work as part of a multi-disciplinary team of specialist staff including teachers, Speech Pathologists and School Psychologists, who provide assessment and intervention services to primary school age students with complex reading and language difficulties from rural and remote areas of NSW.
