About the Role
The Head of Science will lead the design, implementation and evaluation of engaging and rigorous Science programs aligned with NSW Curriculum and NESA requirements, with a strong focus on student growth and HSC success. The role combines educational leadership with classroom teaching and offers the opportunity to shape the future direction of Science education within the College.
As a member of the College's academic leadership team, the successful applicant will provide strategic direction for curriculum, pedagogy and staff development while fostering a culture of high expectations, collaboration and continuous improvement.
Key responsibilities:
- Leading curriculum development, assessment and quality assurance across Years 7–12.
- Driving excellence in teaching practice through coaching and professional learning.
- Monitoring student data to inform teaching strategies and improve outcomes.
- Supporting and developing a high-performing team of Science educators.
- Leading STEM initiatives and promoting cross-curricular collaboration.
- Managing faculty resources, budgets and compliance requirements.
