About the Role

Frederick Irwin Anglican School is seeking an experienced, innovative and passionate educator to undertake the ongoing role of Head of English (Years 7–12), commencing in 2027.

 

The Head of English is a key leadership position within the Secondary School and plays a significant role in driving excellence in teaching and learning across the English Learning Area. The successful applicant will provide leadership to English staff, oversee curriculum development and implementation, foster outstanding teaching practice, and promote high levels of student engagement, achievement and literacy outcomes.

 

The ideal candidate will be an exemplary classroom practitioner who is future-focused, evidence-informed, highly organised and committed to continuous improvement. They will demonstrate outstanding interpersonal and leadership skills, the ability to build a collaborative and high-performing team culture, and a commitment to supporting the School's Anglican ethos and values.
