Role description

HEAD OF PRIMARY

We are seeking an inspirational senior leader to take on this pivotal position of Head of Primary, who will play a central role in shaping this next chapter. As part of our College Leadership Team, you will contribute to strengthening our Catholic identity, enriching our community, and advancing a forward looking vision for teaching and learning across the Primary College. 

Key Responsibilities 
Student Wellbeing & Pastoral Care
You will champion a whole school approach to wellbeing, creating a safe, inclusive and nurturing environment where every child can thrive. This includes leading wellbeing programs, overseeing behaviour and engagement processes, and supporting staff in responding to student needs, including Students With Disability. You will work collaboratively with counsellors and support teams to ensure Duty of Care is upheld at all times.
Staff Leadership & Development
You will lead, mentor and inspire Primary staff, building a cohesive, high performing team aligned with the College’s mission and strategic direction. This includes overseeing induction, appraisal and performance development, fostering a culture of collaboration and reflective practice, and identifying professional learning opportunities. You will actively build leadership capacity within the Primary team.
Community Engagement
You will cultivate strong, positive relationships with students, families and the wider community, ensuring the Primary School is welcoming, inclusive and connected. You will communicate effectively with families, support parent engagement initiatives such as the APA …
