Role description
A temporary 3 year position commencing 28 January 2027. The successful applicant will be required to support a team of committed professionals in the Religious Education faculty.
The role of Middle Leader exists to support the principal and work closely with the Director of Mission in implementing the vision and mission of the school, to support growth in faith and improvement in learning for students and assist the school leadership team in the conduct and organisation of the school.
ESSENTIAL SELECTION CRITERIA
- Demonstrate a deep understanding and commitment to the mission and purpose of the Catholic School within the broader Catholic Church.
- Create and maintain an orderly, safe and supportive learning environment based on the principles of PB4L.
- Apply knowledge of the diverse needs of students to support their full participation in learning.
- Ability to plan for and implement effective teaching and learning in the Religious Education curriculum.
- Demonstrate a knowledge of High Impact Teaching Strategies and their implementation within the classroom
- Use a range of assessment strategies and analyse data to inform student learning.
- Demonstrate commitment to engage professionally with colleagues, parents/carers, and the wider school community.
- Demonstrate a detailed knowledge of all relevant NESA guidelines and updates.
DESIRABLE SELECTION CRITERIA
Experience in teaching Studies of Religion.
