Role description


This is a fixed term, full-time position commencing August 2026 up until June, 2027 with possible permanency

The Midwest Education Regional Office is located in Geraldton on the Midwest coast. The 46 public schools in the Midwest education region have approximately 7,600 students and are a mixture of coastal and inland schools, including remote community schools. Approximately 30 percent of students are Aboriginal. The Geraldton network of schools consists of 20 schools in and close to Geraldton. The successful applicant will work in Geraldton schools, with some travel involved.

On Track to Thrive is a program being delivered through a cross-agency partnership, led by the Department of Justice in collaboration with WA Police Force and Departments of Communities, Education and Health. The program will provide supports focussed on a child’s development and wellbeing, strengthen protective factors for both the child and their family, and help shape a future where children are supported to thrive.

On Track to Thrive is made up of several key components, which all have the funding and support of WA Government. These include discreet funded services, working in a co-ordinated way to wrap supports around each child and their family for up to 12 months; and Expert Reference Groups, providing assessment and advice in relation to a tailored service response for each child.
