Mary Brooksbank School is a dedicated centre of educational excellence established on the 18th of August 1987, specifically catering to students with moderate to severe intellectual disabilities, often accompanied by complex medical, behavioural and emotional needs. In 2026, we serve a diverse student population of 126 students, 10% of whom are from First Nations backgrounds, 64% from language backgrounds other than English, across 20 classes ranging from Kindergarten to Year 12 using Positive Behaviour for Learning and Play-Based Learning principles to foster an inclusive and supportive environment.
