Background
St Vincent’s College is an independent day and boarding school offering a contemporary Catholic Education for girls in Years 7-12. Founded by the Sisters of Charity in 1858, and now under the stewardship of Mary Aikenhead Ministries, we are a dynamic learning community, cherishing our Catholic heritage and fostering creativity, courage, discernment and leadership in young women.
The College is seeking to employ a professional and enthusiastic Boarding Coordinator/s.
The position is casual with a regular roster and includes overnight passive duty. Staff accommodation is available for exclusive use whilst on duty.
The ability to work week and/or weekends should be stated in your application.
The Role
The Boarding Coordinator role supports the Dean of Boarding with the following:
- Ensuring the well-being, safety, pastoral and academic care of the Boarder
- Possessing knowledge of each Boarder and their families
- Facilitating the behaviours expected of adolescent girls living in community
- Supervision of the day to day routines of boarding life
- Maintaining accurate records and rolls
- Possession of a full knowledge of the Coordinators Handbook, associated procedures, and the College Staff Handbook
- Facilitation of academic progress via supervised study
- Administer medications as required
- Maintaining good relations and communication with parents
