Wellard Primary School (PS) opened in 2018 and caters to students from Kindergarten to Year 6, located in the heart of the growing Wellard community. Today, our school supports a vibrant and diverse population of 780 students.

The Role

The Deputy Principal will play a key role within the Wellard PS leadership team, working closely with the Principal, fellow Deputy Principals and middle leaders to strengthen a positive, high-performing school culture and improve teaching, learning and student outcomes.

Central to the role is the capacity to build trusting, respectful relationships with staff, students, families and the wider school community. The successful applicant will ideally demonstrate highly developed interpersonal skills, sound judgement and the ability to engage in professional conversations that build collective responsibility and strengthen practice.

Educational leadership will be a significant focus. The successful applicant will ideally have the capacity to support and coach teachers across a varied range of experience, providing feedback and professional guidance that builds capability, promotes reflection and strengthens consistency of practice across the school.
