About the Role
MacKillop College, Bathurst is seeking an experienced and dedicated Catholic educator to join the school community. The Religious Education Coordinator is a key member of the leadership team of a Catholic school and exercises his or her ministry under the leadership of the Principal within the school leadership team, in collaboration with clergy, teachers, parents, Catholic Education staff and other members of the faith community who contribute to the life of the Catholic school.

The responsibilities of the Religious Education Coordinator in the Catholic Education Diocese of Bathurst are drawn from three key domains of leadership: 

  • Religious Leadership: Gives personal witness to Catholic values; articulates an understanding of the Catholic tradition; assists the principal to ensure the school community is visibly Catholic and works collaboratively with the Principal, Clergy and parish teams identifying, developing and leading opportunities to connect school and parish in the evangelising mission of the Church; leads the liturgical and prayer life of the school community; ensures a rich spiritual and sacramental life for all within the school community; and promotes a commitment to social justice as part of our call to missionary discipleship.
