Role description
This role offers the opportunity to inspire students through engaging, contemporary teaching practices while contributing to a collaborative and innovative learning environment. This negotiable 0.8 to 1.0FTE role is for an immediate start for the reminder of the term with the potential for ongoing employment at the College into Term 4. The key responsibilities are to:
- Deliver engaging and contemporary learning experiences across Legal Studies, Humanities and AIF.
- Assess, monitor and report on student progress in line with SACE requirements
- Differentiate teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs of learners
- Contribute to curriculum development and collaborative planning within the Science team
- Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports student wellbeing
About you:
As the successful candidate, you will bring:
- Demonstrated experience teaching Humanities subject areas
- Knowledge and expertise in Legal Studies subject disciple and/or teaching experience at Senior Year levels in this subject.
- A strong understanding of the South Australian Curriculum and SACE requirements.
- A current South Australian Teacher Registration.
- Demonstrated ability to engage and motivate middle and senior students
- Excellent organisational, communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to fostering a safe and inclusive learning environment
- The ability to build strong, respectful relationships with students, parents, and staff.
- Current WWCC, RRHAN-EC Fundamentals & Masterclass certification, and First Aid in an education setting.
