Role description


This is a permanent part-time (0.1 FTE) position commencing as soon as possible

The Role

As a Level 1 Laboratory Technician, you will provide support to teaching staff in routine chemical and equipment preparation and construction of simple apparatus for science classes, as well as ordering supplies, equipment and managing stock levels.

The successful applicant will perform basic repair and maintenance on the equipment whilst constructing teaching aids as required. Additionally, you will be responsible for the labelling, maintaining and safe storing of laboratory chemicals, equipment and resources and the disposal of chemical, physical, and biological laboratory materials.

The successful applicant will ideally show initiative and possess good interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, as well as strong organisational skills. Knowledge of Work Health and Safety practices and policies is recommended. You should also be motivated and possess the ability …
