Role description
We are seeking to establish a pool of Special Needs Education Assistants for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2026 school year. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.
With a rich history dating back to 1919, Carlisle Primary School (PS) is a vibrant and inclusive Independent Public School where community matters. Our vision, 'a community that learns and grows together to create their future’, underpins everything we do. We inspire our students to develop confidence, resilience, independence and the ability to collaborate with others to become the problem solvers, creators and innovators of tomorrow. Through excellence in teaching and learning, empowering leadership, creating the conditions for learning and growing a connected community, we strive to ensure every student is known, valued and supported to achieve success.
At Carlisle PS, we believe students learn best when teaching is explicit and consistent, teachers know their students and curriculum deeply, students feel a strong sense of belonging, and families actively engage in the learning journey. Strong relationships, mutual respect and a genuine sense of connection underpin our school community. Staff work collaboratively, celebrate success together and share a collective commitment to achieving the best possible outcomes for every student. Together, we create a welcoming and supportive environment where every child can thrive academically, socially and emotionally.
