Selection Criteria

SC1  - Demonstrated understanding of initiatives in student learning.

SC2 - Demonstrated high level, one on one and small group instructional skills, and the capacity to work with colleagues to continually improve student learning.

SC3 Demonstrated ability to monitor and assess student learning and to implement improvements to enhance student learning.

SC4 Demonstrated high level written and verbal communication skills and high-level interpersonal skills, including a capacity to develop constructive relationships with students' parents and other staff.

SC5 Demonstrated commitment and capacity to actively contribute to a broad range of school activities and a commitment to ongoing professional learning to enable further development of relevant skills and expertise

Role

  • The applicant is required to provide instrumental instructions on required instrument.
  • The successful applicant must be able to instruct and demonstrate the instruments at all levels from beginning to VCE and be versed in a range of styles, contemporary and traditional.
  • The College requires all instrumental music staff to demonstrate a high level of competency in instructing instruments in groups.
  • The position also involves rehearsal and direction of ensembles and concert band as directed
