About the role
HillSide Christian College is seeking a full-time Secondary Education Assistant to join our Christian learning community.
This role will primarily involve supporting students in Food Technology (including food preparation) and Art, with additional responsibilities providing individual and small-group support to students, including those with additional learning, behavioural or physical needs.
The successful candidate will work under the direction of the classroom teacher to support the educational, social and personal development of students, including students with additional learning, behavioural or physical needs. This role involves daily, direct contact with students, so the successful candidate would need to meet all religious requirements stipulated in this advert and be a genuine role model of our Christian values.
Salary is based on the College's Administration Pay Scale, which is above the Award rate. The specific level offered will depend on the successful candidate's experience and the complexity of support required. The main duties of the role are listed below:
