About the Role

St Peters Lutheran College is seeking a dedicated and experienced Duty Technician to join our Events team, on a casual basis. As the lead technical officer on duty, you will deliver the technical operation of College events and productions, ensuring our performing arts venues operate safely, efficiently and to a professional standard. This is an exciting casual opportunity for an experienced theatre or production technician who enjoys a hands-on role in a dynamic events environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the technical delivery of events, productions and performances across College venues.
• Configure and operate professional lighting, audio, vision and staging systems.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and provide on-the-spot solutions during events.
• Coordinate venue set-up, changeovers and restoration to maintain operational readiness.
• Provide technical support, guidance and venue inductions for performers, hirers and production teams.
• Maintain safe work practices and contribute to equipment maintenance, reporting and continuous improvement.

What You Bring

• A relevant tertiary degree qualification in Theatre, Production, Creative Industries or a related discipline, and/or extensive relevant industry experience.
• Comprehensive knowledge of theatre production, lighting, audio, audiovisual and staging systems.
• Experience in a similar role, with knowledge of live event delivery, venue operations and technical production environments.
