Learning Support Officer/Teachers Aid

This role commences as soon as possible in Term 3 2026 until the end of the year.

As a Teacher’s Aide you will be working under the direction of the Learning Support Coordinator and the class teacher to deliver learning support for a student with identified needs in primary.

Key Selection Criteria:
 

• Commitment to Catholic education, a clear understanding of the vision and mission of Catholic Schools and a willingness to support faith formation of students.

• Demonstrated experience working with children and providing in-class support across the curriculum to students with various learning difficulties.

• A commitment and interest to support students with special learning needs.

• Patience, resilience, and the desire and skills to provide learning and care to students.

• Excellent communication and IT skills

• Ability to work with small groups of students

• Confident to take initiative, be innovative and put forward ideas

• Working effectively with team members, in particular, the classroom teacher

Qualifications / skills/ Traits:

• Minimum qualification of Certificate III or IV in Education Support

• Experience in working with students with learning difficulties

• Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel

• Punctual and excellent time management skills
