Role description
Metropolitan North Region, School and Regional Operations and Performance Division
Wavell State High School is seeking a passionate and community minded person to join our school as a Community Education Counsellor.
Reporting to the Principal (or delegate), you will provide educational counselling and culturally responsive support across the school, helping to strengthen student
engagement, wellbeing, and participation. You will work collaboratively with school staff, families, community organisations, and external agencies to build strong partnerships and connect students with the support they need to succeed.
This role is ideal for someone who is committed to empowering
Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander students, values collaboration, and is passionate about creating culturally safe and inclusive learning environments.
This position is being offered in a Temporary Part-Time capacity (0.80FTE), 58 hours per fortnight.
