Yarragon Primary School is a vibrant centre of teaching and learning. The school has embraced Professional Learning Communities that work collaboratively, to provide the best possible learning opportunities for students. A new Strategic Plan will continue to focus on PLCs targeting literacy and numeracy and a health and wellbeing focus through Respectful Relationships. A tiered Intervention Model has been implemented to support students at risk both below and above expected standards. The school implements a Restorative Practice approach to student engagement and wellbeing. Focus is on positive learner dispositions and a strength based approach to engagement and behaviour interventions. A strong classroom focus is on the development of individual learning goals and co-designed success criteria. Peer observation and coaching provide professional development and growth to ensure learning is differentiated and supports all students and improved outcomes.
Our school vision is to develop and inspire confident, caring, respectful learners. Our school values include Collaboration, Excellence, Safety, Respect and Confidence.
