Role description
Selection Criteria
SC1 Possess relevant recognised qualification in Occupational Therapy and demonstrate relevant clinical experience, ideally with knowledge of appropriate classroom interventions related to sensory and emotional regulation (but not essential).
SC2 Demonstrated understanding and commitment to the development and implementation of dynamic Occupational Therapy programs for our students.
SC3 Demonstrated ability to design and deliver professional learning for teachers and Education Support Staff in the area of Occupational Therapy.
SC4 Demonstrated capacity to lead and deliver individual and small group Occupational Therapy programs to students who require additional support within a group setting.
SC5 Demonstrated understanding of how neurodiversity and adaptive functioning impacts learning.
SC6 Demonstrated ability to participant in and contribute to a collaborative working environment in a transdisciplinary team and develop supportive professional working relationships with staff and students.
Role
Role Description:
The Occupational Therapist provides high level support, addressing the therapy needs of individuals and groups of students. The Occupational Therapist works closely with the Student Wellbeing & Allied Health Team, led by the Assistant Principal. The successful candidate will be required to demonstrate evidence of an appropriate Occupational Therapist qualification.
