Role description

We are seeking an enthusiastic, knowledgeable and student-focused Careers Adviser to join our Senior Campus. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional who is passionate about supporting students as they navigate subject selection, tertiary education, vocational pathways and future career opportunities.

About the Role

Reporting to the Head of Studies, the Careers Adviser will lead the College's careers and post-school pathways program for students.

The successful applicant will provide professional career guidance to students and parents while developing strong partnerships with universities, TAFE, employers, industry and external education providers.

Key Responsibilities

As the Careers Adviser, you will:

  • Provide individual career counselling and pathway advice to students and families.
  • Guide Year 10 students through subject selection for Years 11 and 12.
  • Support Year 12 students with university, TAFE, apprenticeship, traineeship and employment applications.
  • Provide expert advice regarding UAC applications, ATAR pathways, Early Entry Schemes, scholarships and alternative admission pathways.
  • Coordinate enrolments and ongoing support for students studying with external providers.
