About the role:

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced educator who is passionate about fostering curiosity, critical thinking and scientific inquiry in young people.

This is a five-year tenure Position of Responsibility appointment with an ongoing substantive teaching position at Seymour College. As the Head of Science, you will:

  • Lead the strategic direction and continuous improvement of the Science Department.
  • Drive excellence in curriculum design, assessment and contemporary pedagogical practice.
  • Use student achievement data to inform teaching and improve learning outcomes.
  • Lead, mentor and develop a high-performing team of educators.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation and professional growth.
  • Support students through curriculum guidance, enrichment opportunities and pathways advice.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across the College to ensure a seamless learning journey for students.
