Role description
This is a 36 month fixed term, full-time position commencing October 2026 with possible extension (36 months) and/or permanency
The Department of Education’s Broome Camp School delivers immersive, curriculum aligned outdoor learning programs for diverse student groups. These experiences promote personal growth, environmental stewardship, teamwork, and cultural understanding. The Camp School Manager leads the strategic direction and daily operations of the facility, overseeing program development, staff, stakeholder engagement, and resource management. The role ensures the delivery of high-quality, inclusive, and culturally responsive outdoor education programs that reflect the unique environmental and cultural heritage of Broome and the wider Kimberley region.

The Role
The successful applicant will oversee the administration of the camp school, including staff, finances, assets, resources, and the maintenance of buildings and grounds. They will lead the design, implementation, and evaluation of engaging, curriculum-aligned outdoor, recreation and environmental education programs.
They will additionally liaise with stakeholders, including Traditional Owners, to plan and deliver culturally responsive educational programs such as two-way science and on-Country learning, relevant to the camp school’s coastal environment and will research natural and social sciences and assess sites of interest for inclusion in educati…
