About the Role

Reporting to the Foundation Principal, the Deputy Principal will play a pivotal role in establishing the culture, routines, and operational excellence of our new school. This role includes:

  • Leadership & School Operations
  • Supporting compliance with MACS, VRQA and legislative requirements
  • Overseeing daily organisation, staffing, supervision, and timetabling
  • Coordinating replacement staffing and supervision rosters
  • Leading and supporting Professional Learning Teams (PLTs)
  • Managing agendas and minutes for Leadership Meetings
  • Assisting with policy development, school events, excursions, and emergency procedures
  • Assuming the role of Principal when required

Student Wellbeing & Behaviour

  • Leading the implementation of our SEL curriculum
  • Supporting staff with behaviour management, restorative practices, and incident recording
  • Working with families around wellbeing concerns
  • Supporting NCCD processes and student needs

Community & Pastoral Care

  • Promoting positive, respectful relationships across the school
  • Supporting families in times of grief, challenge, and celebration
