Primary objective
Deliver high quality Occupational Therapy support to students with additional needs and effective professional learning to staff in line with the school ASIP.
Context statement
Nakara Primary is an urban school with a student population of approximately 400 including Preschool and an Early Learning Centre. The school community has a large number of families with English as an additional language. Nakara currently has a focus on Restorative Practices and developing strong Wellbeing and Inclusion practices to ensure all students are able to access education in a safe and nurturing environment.
Key duties and responsibilities
- Provide intervention sessions for individual students and small groups focused on emotional regulation
- Lead professional learning for staff in relation to Tier 1 strategies for supporting students
