South Coast Baptist College is seeking a friendly and reliable Canteen Assistant to support the daily operations of our College canteen. This role involves preparing and serving healthy food and refreshments to students while ensuring food safety standards are maintained.
Working closely with the Canteen Coordinator, the successful applicant will help ensure the smooth and efficient running of the canteen while contributing to a welcoming and positive environment for students and staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the day-to-day operations of the College canteen.
- Prepare and serve food in accordance with FoodSafe WA requirements.
- Maintain daily records and assist with preparing the canteen for service.
- Check deliveries and supplies against invoices when required.
- Assist with daily cash handling and recording of takings with another staff member.
- Maintain a clean and organised canteen environment, including cleaning benches, shelves and equipment.
- Support the Canteen Coordinator in maintaining appropriate security procedures.
- Contribute to a positive and welcoming environment for students, staff and volunteers.
