Role description

Catholic Special School is a community where Our Lady of La Vang, Flinders Park and St Patrick’s, Dulwich come together to create a nurturing and inclusive educational environment for children and young people requiring specialist education because of intellectual disability and complex needs.

Inspired by our Catholic faith, we celebrate the unique abilities of each student, offering meaningful, individualised curriculum based.  Our campuses are deeply committed to contemporary, evidence-based educational practices, grounded in wholisitc learning and child development.  At the heart of our approach is collaboration. We work in partnership with parents, caregivers, and therapists to craft highly individualised programs. We provide an environment that intentionally nurtures each student emotionally, intellectually, psychologically, physically, and spiritually. 

This position is a part-time, fixed-term position working 22.5 hours per week commencing start of Term 3 until the end of the 2026 school year. 

Role Details

  • Demonstrate a commitment to the vision of Catholic Special School: Our Lady of La Vang and a willingness to incorporate the ethos of the school into all aspects of their work.
  • Provide evidence-based Educational Occupational Therapy services to the school including intervention, and consultation within a Multidisciplinary team.
  • Collaboratively build the capacity of teachers and school communities to meet the needs of students with diverse learning needs.
