Role description

Good Shepherd Lutheran College is a co-educational, non-government school for ELC to Year 12 students. It has three campuses across Darwin: Howard Springs, Palmerston and Leanyer.

Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced Primary Teachers to join the casual relief teaching team across all junior campus locations: Howard Springs, Palmerston and Leanyer.

Primary Teachers provide an atmosphere for students to fulfil their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, spiritual and psychological growth. They are responsible for organising and implementing an instructional program that will result in students achieving academic success.

As a professional community, we inspire and equip students to flourish as compassionate, highly capable people who enrich the lives of others, guided by Christian values.

The ideal candidate will have experience teaching in the primary years and a strong understanding of relevant curriculum areas, including inquiry-based learning. They will be confident facilitating engaging, student-centred learning experiences and working both independently and collaboratively within a supportive school community. A commitment to restorative practices, a genuine passion for primary teaching, and a flexible approach to learning are highly valued. Willingness to teach across a range of primary curriculum areas is advantageous.

If you are an innovative teaching professional who values collaboration, mentoring, and nature‑inspired learning within a supportive school community, we invite you to apply to join our College.
