Role description

Saint Ignatius’ College Riverview (the College) is a Catholic, Jesuit boarding school for boys from Year 5 to Year 12. Situated on the beautiful Lane Cove River in Sydney NSW, it has an enrolment of over 1600 students. The College is conducted by the Society of Jesus and is part of a worldwide network of Jesuit schools and universities.

Established in 1880, the College is committed to an education for each student that proposes Christ as the model for human life by promoting the spiritual, academic, social, physical and experiential growth of its students.

The College invites applications from experienced and compassionate candidates for a leadership position as Head of Division within our Boarding community. Under the direction of the Director of Boarding, each Head of Division provides pastoral and operational leadership for one of the College’s six Boarding Divisions (Year groups) and holds a vital role in the in loco parentis care and formation of our boarders.

The Division (year group) that role will oversee, will be determined based on the experience and strengths of the successful applicant.

The position is full-time, three-year contract starting January 2027, with the option of renewing on a successful performance review. The role comes with a 0.5 FTE teaching load with on-site accommodation provided.
