Role description
Prep–Year 12 - Multi‑Campus Role
Geelong Lutheran College is seeking an exceptional educational leader to serve as our Head of Wellbeing, providing strategic and operational leadership of student wellbeing across our Prep–Year 12 community. This role leads the College’s whole‑school approach to wellbeing, ensuring a consistent, evidence‑informed, and student‑centred culture.
The Head of Wellbeing will work collaboratively with the Chaplain, Heads of School, Deans of Students, Year Level Coordinators, and key staff to champion proactive, preventative, and contemporary wellbeing practices. This role leads the implementation of the College’s wellbeing vision, creating an environment where students flourish academically, socially, emotionally, and spiritually, using their God‑given gifts to contribute positively to society.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and sustain a whole‑school wellbeing strategy from Prep–Year 12.
- Oversee wellbeing programs, systems and structures, ensuring evidence‑informed practice.
- Provide leadership in child safety as the College’s Chief Child Safety Officer.
- Support staff capability through professional learning, coaching and data‑informed practice.
- Coordinate case management for students with complex needs, working closely with families and external agencies.
- Build a positive, inclusive and safe school culture grounded in restorative and trauma‑informed approaches.
- Lead wellbeing policy development, review and implementation.
- Serve as a key member of the Critical Incident Management Team.
