Role description

Warrah Specialist School is seeking a passionate and qualified Casual Teacher to join our dedicated team. We provide a caring and supportive learning environment tailored to the needs of students with disabilities from K – 12, fostering academic growth through individualised education plans, hands-on learning experiences, and the principles of Rudolf Steiner’s Curative Education.

We are seeking a passionate and qualified Teacher to join our dedicated Early Years team, supporting young learners in a nurturing and inclusive environment. In this role, you will deliver engaging, tailored learning experiences for students with disabilities, contributing to their academic, social, and personal development. You will collaborate closely with support staff, families, and colleagues to provide an inclusive and supportive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging and individualised lessons aligned with NSW Board of Studies and Steiner Education Australia Curriculum requirements.
  • Support students through Individual Education Plans tailored to their unique needs.
  • Incorporate outdoor and practical learning including woodwork, weaving, music, drama, cooking, gardening, and farming.
  • Provide personal care support to students when needed, in a respectful and dignified manner.
  • Manage and respond to challenging behaviours using positive behaviour support strategies and trauma-informed practices.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, families, and the broader Warrah community.
  • Participate in school events and contribute to the school’s warm, supportive learning environment.
