Preschool Teacher - Early Childhood Education

The Opportunity

St Joseph’s School Hectorville is seeking a dedicated and dynamic educator to join our Preschool teaching team for 18 months. Our Early Childhood Teachers in Preschool provide young children with a strong foundation for learning and development of their social and emotional skills in accordance with the Early Years Learning Framework. • Monday, Tuesday and half day Wednesday
• 1.5 year contract from Week 3, Term 3, 2026 and 2027

Key Responsibilities

You will:

• Provide different experiences and activities that develop social connections, cooperation and motor skills
• Promote language development through storytelling, song and informal discussions
• Modify the learning environment to support child development

About You

• Current Teacher Registration in South Australia & Bachelor or Master of Teaching in Early Childhood Education
• Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the National Quality Standards for Early Childhood Education and Care and the Early Years Learning Framework
• Demonstrated expertise in planning and implementing intentional, play-based learning experiences that cater for diverse developmental needs and interests.
• Ability to use a continuous cycle of observation and reflection to document children’s learning 
• Familiarity with the Reggio Emilia Approach and the ability to bring its principles to life
