Role description


This is a 12 month fixed term, full-time position commencing ASAP with possible extension (12 months) and/or permanency 

The Education Business Services (EBS) division provides professional business services and support to Western Australian public schools, statutory boards and Department divisions. EBS delivers services across finance, information and communication technologies (ICT), and infrastructure, with a strong focus on enhancing organisational capability, improving systems and processes, and supporting the delivery of high-quality education outcomes. The division is committed to contemporary work practices and service delivery principles that are responsive, flexible, transparent, accountable and collaborative.

The School Financial Management and Support Branch forms part of the Financial Services Directorate and is responsible for providing schools with support and advice on transactional and technical financial matters, as well as finance policy guidance. The Branch also coordinates school financial systems and delivers training and support to ensure effective financial management practices across schools.

The Role

The role is responsible for the design, development and delivery of statewide training programs and workshops relating to the Department’s school finance systems and effective financial management practices in schools.
