The Queensland Curriculum and Assessment Authority (QCAA) is seeking a Principal Education Officer to join the Access Arrangements and Reasonable Adjustments (AARA) Unit . The Access Arrangements and Reasonable Adjustments (AARA) Unit is responsible for the development of complex and sensitive processes and systems required by QCAA to successfully administer AARA for students undertaking senior assessment in Queensland schools. The Principal Education Officer is responsible for reviewing specific AARA approaches in the context of schools and sectors of Queensland.

What you will do

 In the Principal Education Officer role, you will:

  • Lead internal processes required to manage QCE and NAPLAN AARA applications, decisions, and appeals, and create consolidated documentation to support the consistent application of AARA processes.
  • Act as a point of contact for AARA enquiries and work in liaison with government and non-government educational agencies, parents and parent groups, medical representatives, schools, disability advocates and other stakeholders on assigned projects.
