About Us
Catholic Archdiocese of Canberra and Goulburn Education Limited (CACGEL) operates in the ACT and NSW, supporting 56 Schools and nine Early Learning Centres (ELCs).
The Archdiocesan Schools Office provides a range of services to the system through four directorates including Faith in Learning, School Operations, Corporate Services and Governance and Strategy.
About the Role
The Faith and Mission Lead position supports the overall mission of Catholic Archdiocese of Canberra and Goulburn Education Limited (CACGEL), which is to spread the Good News of Jesus Christ through the integral human development of students. The role is critical to the successful execution of the 2027-2023 CACGEL Apostolic Action Plan, Grounded in Faith, Growing in Service (to be formally launched on 20 August). At the heart of this plan is faith formation of staff, necessary to ensure that “faith is the breath that oxygenates every other subject” in the curriculum (Pope Leo XIV, “Drawing New Maps of Hope”).
The role is directly responsible to the Deputy Executive Director, Faith in Learning. The Faith in Learning directorate has recently been created by bringing together the current Catholic Identity Team and the Teaching and Learning Team, which previously operated independently in organisational siloes.
