Role description

St Francis Catholic College, Edmondson Park is a rapidly growing K-12 school with a student population exceeding 1630 students in 2026. The college is one school, not a traditional primary school and high school coexisting on the same site.  As such, the College is organised into Junior Years Learning (K-4), Middle Years Learning (5-8), and Senior Years Learning (9-12).  St Francis was founded in 2017 and offers new, state-of-the-art learning & specialist KLA facilities.

A temporary part time position (4 days per week) commencing 3 August 2026 (negotiable) until 17 December 2026, with the possibility of extending in 2027.

School Support Officers in Learning Support provide an important service in supporting students in a range of different areas.  This position exists to support the delivery of quality learning and teaching. This position requires you to provide administration support in the Learning Support faculty, as well as classroom support for students in all areas of student learning.

ESSENTIAL SELECTION CRITERIA

  • A commitment to the mission and purpose of the Catholic school within the broader Catholic Church.
  • Understanding of and ability to work with students with diverse needs.
  • Ability to support children’s individual learning in the classroom.
  • Understanding of and ability to work with students with diverse needs.
  • Technical competence in appropriate technologies.

DESIRABLE SELECTION CRITERIA

  • Previous experience in a similar settings.
  • Experience with the NCCD and personalised planning.
