Role description


This is a 12 month fixed term, full-time position commencing Term 1, 2027 with possible extension and/or permanency

Cape Naturaliste College (CNC) was established in 2008 after extensive consultation with members of the community and that strong community involvement continues to this day. The College began its journey as a middle school, with a strong belief in the value of teamwork and a spirit of collaboration that has come to pervade the school ethos.

The staff work collaboratively and strategically to refine their practice and support all students to ensure their needs are met. The shared belief that 'every student is every person's responsibility' underpins a positive learning environment where students are engaged, resilient and independent members of the community.

The Role

As a key member of the administrative team, the Head of Learning Area will work closely with the Principal to provide educational leadership both within the school and the broader community. Your primary focus will be on developing and promoting the school's vision, encouraging active participation from school staff, community volunteers, and other stakeholders, all within the context of Humanities and Social Sciences learning area.
