Role description
Blending old with new, the beautiful Cabra campus is just 10 minutes south of Adelaide, CBD. Cabra Dominican College offers an exceptional Catholic co-educational experience for students in Years 7 – 12. Cabra Dominican College is seeking an outstanding candidate for the position of Science Laboratory Assistant to commence as soon as possible.
The position is permanent, part-time for 20 hours per week, 40 weeks per year.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare equipment, materials and resources for practical science and nutrition lessons.
- Support teachers and students during practical activities, demonstrations and experiments.
- Maintain laboratory and kitchen stock, coordinate orders and ensure resources are readily available.
- Ensure laboratories, preparation areas and kitchen facilities are safe, organised and compliant with WHS requirements.
- Manage the safe storage, handling and maintenance of chemicals, equipment and consumables.
- Assist with science events, STEM initiatives and the promotion of science learning across the College.

You are a proactive and organised professional with a passion for science and a commitment to supporting engaging learning experiences for students.
You will ideally bring:
- Relevant laboratory qualifications and/or experience in a laboratory, educational or similar environment.
