Role description
Wirreanda Secondary School is seeking expressions of interest for an exciting opportunity as a IESP 1-1 student support teacher. 1:1 IESP Teacher - ASD & Complex Learning Needs. Teacher is responsible for delivering personalised, high-quality educational support to a student with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and complex needs, ensuring their access to the curriculum, social inclusion, and overall development. This role involves developing and regularly reviewing an individualised learning program in line with the student's One Plan, collaborating closely with families, allied health professionals, and specialist staff, and utilising evidence-based strategies for teaching social, communication, and self-regulation skills. The teacher will continually assess and document student progress, adapt activities to meet diverse needs, maintain respectful relationships to foster engagement, and participate in professional learning and team meetings.
