Fairvale High School is a co-educational, comprehensive high school in South-West Sydney, proudly serving a diverse, multicultural community. The school successfully caters for the academic, social, and wellbeing needs of approximately 1,314 students, with 97% from a language background other than English. The predominant cultural groups include Vietnamese, Arabic, and Assyrian. Approximately 18% of students are from a refugee background and there are currently 25 Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander students. Seven diverse learning classes cater for students with autism, mild intellectual disability, and moderate intellectual disability. The school has a Family Occupation and Employment Index of 170.
