About our College:
Sacred Heart College is a Kindergarten to Year 10 Co-educational Catholic College based on the charism of the Sisters of St Joseph, located in the central Hobart suburb of New Town.
As a Josephite College with an enrolment of over 980 students, we work to provide our students with a well-rounded Catholic education, encouraging a life-long love of learning.
Sacred Heart College is seeking an enthusiastic, collaborative and innovative Teacher Librarian who is passionate about fostering a love of reading, inquiry and lifelong learning. The successful applicant will be an engaging educator and information specialist, committed to creating a welcoming and dynamic learning environment that supports the academic, spiritual and personal growth of all students. They will demonstrate strong organisational and interpersonal skills, a commitment to contemporary library and information practices, and a willingness to contribute positively to the broader life of the College.
To be eligible applicants are required to:
- Be committed to the aims and philosophy of Catholic Education.
- Be able to articulate a commitment to learning and teaching.
- Be willing to participate fully in the life of the school.
- Have appropriate graduate and/or post graduate qualifications.
- Be a registered Teacher in Tasmania or be able to gain registration prior to the commencement of the position.
