First Aid Officer and Allied Health Administration Assistant

The Opportunity

St Francis Xavier's Catholic School is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic First Aid Officer and Allied Health Administration Assistant to join our Administration team.

This 12 month temporary position will provide first response medical care to students, staff and visitors, ensuring a safe supportive and a well managed First Aid room environment. Working with minimal direct supervision, this position requires a professional frontline person to manage the flow of people, enquiries and administrative activities associated with the day-to day running of the First Aid Room and Allied Health Service provision for the school.

Working days are Monday-Friday 11:00am-3:00pm (40 weeks per year in school terms, with flexibility to support additional hours for school events and wider school activities when required).

The applicant will bring a professional, compassionate approach to supporting students and the wider school community, all while contributing positively to the life and values of our school.

Key responsibilities include:

• act as designated First Aid Officer, providing timely first aid assistance for students and staff whilst maintaining first aid facilities and accurate first aid records 
• administer student medications and attend to related administration duties
• utilise relevant data systems to maintain student records
• provide administrative support with regards to the provision of Allied Health Services 
• assist with broader compliance including verification for Allied Health Providers including undertaking general inductions with contractors
