Role Description
McAuley Community School is seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Educational Support Officer (ESO) to join our Inclusive Education team. Working alongside teachers, school leaders and allied health professionals, the ESO plays an important role in ensuring every student feels welcomed, included, supported and able to participate fully in school life.
Our ESOs work with students across Reception to Year 6, providing academic, social, emotional and behavioural support that enables students to engage confidently in learning and develop independence. Through positive relationships, collaboration and responsive practice, our ESOs help create learning environments where every child is known, valued and given the opportunity to thrive.
This role requires flexibility, initiative and a genuine commitment to working as part of a collaborative team. The successful applicant will embrace the mission and values of Catholic Education and contribute positively to the vibrant life of our school community.
This position is classified at Grade 2. Applicants with relevant qualifications and experience may be considered for a higher classification.
Key Responsibilities
- Work collaboratively with teachers to create inclusive learning environments where all students can access and participate in learning.
- Provide individual and small-group support to enhance student engagement, independence and success across all areas of the curriculum.
