Role description


This is a permanent full-time position commencing Term 4, 2026

East Kenwick Primary School (PS) has been part of the Kenwick community for over 35 years. The school has a steady enrolment of around 400 students drawn from a diverse range of cultural backgrounds. We have approximately 15 percent Indigenous enrolment and 48 percent English as a Second Language we celebrate our cultural diversity and the experiences that each family brings to our school.

The school has an annual transiency rate of approximately 25%, reinforcing the importance of consistent whole-school practices that support student learning, wellbeing and successful transitions.

During this Business Plan cycle, we will work collaboratively with students, staff, families and the wider community to strengthen cultural responsiveness, celebrate diversity and foster a welcoming and inclusive school community.

The Role

The Deputy Principal is a key member of the school's leadership team, working collaboratively to provide strategic leadership that fosters a positive, inclusive and high performing school culture.
